Ocean Thin Films produces various imaging solutions from optical components to complete multispectral camera solutions. Low defect coatings are key in imaging systems so it stands to reason with our Class 1000 clean room with Class 100 work areas we can produce some of the lowest defect parts in the world. As imaging systems advance a push towards using multispectral imaging in a cost effective manner has begun. Multispectral imaging involves capturing images of a scene or object over multiple discrete wavelength bands and extracting spectral content from that data. By leveraging known spectral absorption or emission features to identify materials, the technique can be used for everything from mapping rock types in geological formations to identifying blood oxygenation or cancer cells. Ocean Thin Films has developed the only system that can provide you with real-time imaging and processing using the latest in high-definition CMOS imaging sensors, on-board image manipulation and processing, and our custom dichroic filter array. Our filter wheel development system allows the user to choose various wavelength bands and create images of each band extremely quickly. If the scene doesn't allow movement we can deposit dichroic filters directly on FPA’s (Focal Plane Arrays) in wafer form to create a system that can take a multispectral imagine instantaneously. ![]() |
